Zvi (Howard) Glatt was born in 1958 in Brooklyn, NY. At the age of 16 he made aliya and began to study in the Yeshivat Merkaz Harav in Jerusalem. He was a close student of Rabbi Druckman.
On May 2, 1980 on Friday evening, a group of worshipers left the Machpela Cave in Hevron on their way to Beuit Hadassah when they were fired upon by terrorists from three sides. Five people were killed, including Zvi Menachem, and another six were wounded. Zvi was buried in the Military Cemetary on Har Herzl.
