Daniel Wein was born on April 20, 1967, in Miami, Florida, to Harvey and Sandra Wein. In 1970, the family made aliyah and settled on Moshav Neve Ilan, where Daniel grew up and where his mother was one of the founding members. In July 1985, Daniel was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and served in the Givati Infantry Battalion, where he trained as a medic. On April 3, 1986, he was killed in a training accident and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Neve Ilan. He is remembered for his dedication, kindness, and sense of responsibility.
