Daniel Wein was born on April 20, 1967 in Miami, Florida to Harvey and Sandra. The family made aliya in 1970 and Daniel grew up and was educated at Moshav Neve Ilan, of which his mother was one of the founders.
Danny was drafted into the IDF in July 1985 and served in the Givati Infantry Battalion. After basic training he trained as a medic.
On April 3, 1986 Danny was killed in a training accident. He was buried in the military cemetery in Neve Ilan.
