Yosef grew up in Beit Shemesh. Completed his schooling at the Horev High School in Jerusalem and then joined the pre army academy in Eli. he enjoyed sport and was interested in anything to do with planes. he would take his drone with him on treks around Beit Shemesh. On 29.3.2020 was inducted into the army and joined the " Duvduvan" unit. Members of his unit describe him as being modest, though and always ready to help others. Yosef was instrumental in forming the drone unit in "Duvduvan". He continued in "Duvduvan" after his compulsory service and took part in many military operations.
