Dedications and memories

  1. It is a sad thing this young woman was killed by terrorists simply for her connection to the JDL leadership. I will remember her in my prayers and almost feel the fear she must have felt as she was attacked.

Life Story

Talia Kahane was born on March 18, 1968 in Israel to Aviva and Avraham Hertzlich. She grew up in Tiberias with her ten brothers and sisters. Talia studied at the Bais Yaakov elementary school and seminar. She was licensed as a teacher and taught at schools in Moshav Nov on the Golan and Kibbutx Lavi in the Gallil. She married Binyamin Zeev Kahane in 1988 and the couple moved to Kfar Tapuach where they had six children. After the assasination of her father-in-law, Rabbi Meir Kahane, in 1990, Talia worked as her husband's assistant at the 'Kahane Chai' yeshiva which he established in his father's memory. On December 31, 2000, as Talia and Binyamin Zeev were returning to their home in Kfar Tapuch from Shabbat in Jerusalem, they were shot and killed by Arab snipers. Both were buried in Jerusalem.
