Shoshana “Shoshi” Ben-Yishai, 16, made aliyah with her family in 1989 from Kew Garden Hills, New York. On November 4, 2001, while traveling home from school in Neve Yaacov to Betar Illit, a terrorist attacked her bus, killing Shoshana and another teenager. Known for her warm smile, love of learning, and constant desire to help others, Shoshana was a role model for her classmates. She is survived by her parents, Yitzhak and Miriam, and five younger siblings.
