Life Story

Ronald Jatovsky (Jay), son of Simcha (Stefan) and Margalit (Margot), was born in New York on October 12, 1956. Ron was drafted into the IDF at the end of January 1978 and was assigned to the Nahal Brigade, where he underwent a long basic training and then was assigned to the battalion for operational activity. On December 17, 1978, during an active reserve duty near the Lebanese border, Ron was killed while carrying out his duties. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, and left behind his parents, two brothers and a sister.
