Micha Goldman, the son of Janet and Bernard Goldman, was born on November 4, 1953 on Kibbutz Gadot. He attended schools at Beit HaShita and appears to have had a very normal childhood, growing up loving animals of all kinds and enjoying hiking and exploring Eretz Yisrael. He was very mechanical and loved to 'tinker' - to take apart and put back together machines, instruments, and tools of all kinds.
Micha was inducted into the IDF in November 1971 and volunteered for the tank corps. When the Yom Kippur War broke out his unit was sent to the Sinai front where they engaged the Egyptians in battle. On the night of October 16,1973 in the battle near Chinese Farm, Micha's tank fell into a trench and was damaged. While seeking repairs, the tank came under enemy fire and was hit. Micha was seriously wounded and subsequently died from his wounds. He is buried at Beit HaShita. He was survived by his mother, father, brother and sister.
