Igal, a 66 year-old Israeli son of Holocaust survivors, was killed, together with his 67 year-old American-Israeli wife Cindy, by Hamas terrorists while trying to hide in their safe room in their home in Kfar Aza.
He grew up in Aynoit almost all of his childhood as the son of Yaakov and Rachel Pelesh – employees of the Agricultural School. Yigal is a graduate and certified in the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment. He lived in the village of Gaza. He was an agronomist, a renowned expert in irrigation and cotton growing. A farmer who dedicated his entire life to working the land.
On 7.10.2023 he was murdered in his home along with his wife Cindy when terrorists broke into their home in the village of Gaza. 66 years old in his late teens. He left behind three daughters, granddaughters, a brother and a sister.
