Daniel Gilboa (Goldberg) was born on March 13, 1942 in Tel Aviv to Chaim and Devorah. Chaim was born in Poland in 1915, moved to Canada in 1923 and came on aliya in 1940. He studied in Kfar Menachem and was active in Hashomer Hazair. After the 1967 Six Day War he served as Rosh Ken in England for two years. Following his return home with his family he served first as the Secretary of the Youth Division and then of his kibbutz.
Daniel was drafted into the IDF in July 1961, serving in the Tank Corps. After completing his compulsory service, he served in the reserves. On November 4, 1970 he was killed in the line of duty and was buried in the Kfar Menachem cemetery. He left a wife and two girls.
