Yonatan Palmer, age 1, was killed along with his father, Asher while they were driving in the Kiryat Arba area. Asher was the son of Mollie and Moshe Palmer and the husband of Puah, who was expecting their next child in several months at the time of the attack.
The police originally suspected that the incident was an 'automobile accident' caused by 'driver error'. Further examination of the automobile and the victims’ bodies proved the initial report to be erroneous and that the deaths were caused by a huge stone thrown through the window of the Palmer's car. Both Asher and Yonatan were buried in the local cemetery in Hevron.
