Yaron Pick was born on January 19, 1969 in Hadera to Haggai and Yehudit, the second of six sons. He was brought up and studied in the city of his birth. He was an outstanding young sportsman and served as captain of the Maccabi Hadera swimming and basketball team.
He was drafted into the IDF in July 1987 and served as a tank commander.
On September 18, 1990 his tank overturned during maneuvers on the Golan Heights and he was killed.
