Life Story

Tamar Lerman, 18, was the daughter of Esther, who made aliyah from California, and Shimshon, who was born in Jerusalem and studied in California. She was born in Be’er Sheva and spent most of her life in Omer. An excellent student and gifted athlete, Tamar participated in track and field, basketball, and rock climbing. She received awards for running, tennis, and sportsmanship. During high school, she volunteered with Magen David Adom. Tamar passed away on October 22, 2003, while serving in the Israeli Air Force.
