Tamar Lerman, 18, was the daughter of Esther who made aliyah from California, and Shimshon who was born in Jerusalem and studied in California. Tamar was born in Beer Sheva and lived most of her life in Omer. She was an excellent student as well as an outstanding sportswoman, participating in track and field events, basketball, and rock climbing. She won awards for running, tennis and sportsmanship. Throughout high school Tamar volunteered with Magen David Adom. She died on October 22, 2003, while serving in the Air Force. A quiet, modest, and kind soul, she is survived by her parents and two sisters.
