Shalom (Shuli) Har-Melech, son of Tzipporah and Moshe, was born on October 13, 1978. He was raised in Kochav HaShahar in the Benyamin Region. Following high school, Shuli served in the IDF as an emergency medical technician through the Hesder Yeshvia progam. He married Limor on Lag B'omer 2003, and they moved to Homesh in the Northern Shomron shortly after their marriage. They had a son and were expecting their second child. Shuli had founded the new yeshiva in Homesh, and was also a volunteer for Hatzalah, as a medic and ambulance driver.
On Friday morning, August 29, 2003, the couple were returning to Homesh after dropping off their son at his parents in Kohav HaShahar. While driving on the Alon Road, five terrorists fired at them with automatic weapons. Shulie was killed immediately, and Limor, 7 monhts pregnant, was critically wounded. Their daughter was born several hours later.
Shuli was buried in the Kohav HaShahar Cemetery. The Homesh yeshiva was named Yeshivat Har Shalom in Shuli's memory.
