Life Story

Roya Manzuri, twenty-two, and Norelle Manzuri, twenty-five, dual US-Israeli citizens from Hod Hasharon, were murdered by Hamas terrorists at the Supernova music festival on October seventh. Roya’s body was found first and she was buried on October twelfth. The family held out hope that her sister Norelle would be found alive and believed she may have been kidnapped. A few days later, Norelle’s body was also located and she was laid to rest on October fifteenth. They are survived by their parents, Menashe and Sigal, and their younger brother Shai. Norelle’s boyfriend, Amit Cohen, was also with them at the rave and murdered alongside them. Both sisters were born in Los Angeles and attended the Temple Israel of Hollywood Jewish day school before moving to Israel. “They’re just the most lovable people. They come into a room and make everybody happy,” said their friend Noa, who was with them at the party, in an interview with NBC News. While sitting shiva for Roya and still waiting to hear about Norelle, their parents took part in a Zoom meeting with US President Joe Biden. During the call, they received a knock on the door informing them that Norelle had also been killed. ** The information on this page is part of the Yizkor commemoration project by the Ministry of Defense and the La'ad website of the National Insurance Institute, in memory of the fallen.
