Life Story

Oren Yaakov Hadary, son of Amnon and Margalit, was born on July 23, 1952, in Nahariya as a member of Kibbutz Gesher Haziv. As a child, he lived for several years in the United States and Canada while his parents were on shlichut. He was drafted into the IDF in February 1971. During the Yom Kippur War, he fought in the Sinai. On October 24, 1973, he was fatally wounded while rescuing wounded soldiers on the western side of the Suez Canal.
