David Reuven Boim, son of Stanley and Joyce Boim, was born on March 27, 1979 in New York. He made aliyah with his family in 1985 to the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem. He was beloved for his sense of humor and joy in life.
He was a student at the Beit El Yeshiva High School when he was shot by terrorists while waiting for a bus on May 13, 1996. He was survived by his parents and six siblings.
