Daniel Frei was born on September 12, 1966 in London, England to Alfred (Avraham) and Pat (Ruth). Danny made aliya in 1991, in the midst of the Gulf War. He married Mara and they had a daughter, Rachel-Leah. The family lived on the Yishuv Maaleh Michmash
On September 5, 1995 at 2 am a terrorist infiltrated the Yishuv and the Frei home. He stabbed both Danny and Mara, killing the former and making Mara lose her unborn child. Danny is buried in Jerusalem.
