Zvi Halevi Freiman was born August 1, 1908 in Hamilton, Canada to Reb Menachem. At the age of two, Zvi's parents moved to Chicago in the USA. Zvi began his studies in public school and at the age of ten he entered the local Talmud Torah Three years later he began to study in the Etz Chaim Yeshiva, excelling both in Torah studies and secular subjects. At the age of sixteen he entered the Rabbinical Seminary.
Zvi made aliya to Hebron to study in the Yeshiva there and was killed in the Hebron Massacre on August 24, 1929.
