Chaim Zelig Krasner, son of Sara and Yitzhak Pinchas, was born in August 1913 in Brooklyn. His father had studied in the Yeshiva of Minsk and had emigrated to the United States with his family prior to World War I.
Chaim studied in the Yeshiva Torah Vadaath and in May 1922 made aliyah with his family. While his mother and sister lived in Tel Aviv and his father returned to the US to wrap up his business, Chaim studied in the yeshiva in Hevron.
On August 24, 1929 he was murdered by Arabs in the Hevron riots and was buried in the Hevron Cemetery.
