Michal (Mickey) Edelson was born on August 27, 1953 in Beersheba to Yonatan and Ida. She grew up on Moshav Orot where she attended elementary school. She completed the regional high school in Beer Tuvia with honors. Following her army service, Michal began to study physiotherapy at the Assaf Harofe hospital.
On February 9, 1974 Michal and her boyfriend drove a soldier back to his base in the Golan Heights. Upon their return they were ambushed by terrorists who fired a bazooka at their car, near Kibbutz Snir, killing Michal instantly. She was buried in the cemetery in Beer Tuvia.
