Life Story

Jeremy Karp, son of Mark and Miriam, was born on March 24, 1962 in the US. In 1972 the family made aliya and settled in Jerusalem. Jeremy studied in the Farbstein Elementary School and then the Hebrew University High School ('Alyada'). In 1980 he was drafted into the IDF and served as a translator in the Intelligence Corps at the Allenby Bridge. In March 1981 he was awarded the rank of corporal. On June 29, 1981, he was driving from Jerusalem to Jericho, heading for the Allenby Bridge. Next to Ma’ale Adumim, his car fell into a ravine Jeremy was brought in critical condition to the hospital, where he died of his wounds.
