Alexandre, age 33, who had been living in Mexico, was vacationing in Israel when he was killed in the Hamas attack at the Supernova Music Festival on October 7. His parents, Alain and Raquel, were on a video call with Alexandre when the attack was happening. He was hiding with friends in a shelter that didn't have a door. They heard a lot of shooting and then silence. His parents learned later that he had blocked the entrance with his body, receiving multiple bullet , in that way protecting around 30 people sheltering in the bunker with him, all of whom survived. He was a real hero.
