Yaron Lischinsky Z"L was a dedicated diplomat, proud Israeli, and devoted partner, remembered for his commitment to his country, community, and the people around him. Born in Nuremberg, Germany, Yaron moved to Israel as a teenager, embracing his new home with passion and determination. He served in the Israel Defense Forces, where he demonstrated responsibility, dedication, and courage, traits that would define both his military and professional life.
Following his service, Yaron pursued a career in diplomacy, joining the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. as a research assistant in the political department. In this role, he worked tirelessly to strengthen Israeli-American relations, monitor developments in the Middle East, and support initiatives that fostered understanding and cooperation. Colleagues and friends remembered him as intelligent, thoughtful, and deeply committed to making a meaningful contribution through his work.
Tragically, Yaron’s life was cut short when he and his partner, Sarah Milgrim, were killed in an antisemitic attack outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., after attending a diplomatic event. He was remembered as a young man who embraced life fully, dedicated himself to his country, and inspired those around him through his integrity, warmth, and sense of purpose. Yaron’s legacy endures through the lives he touched, the work he devoted himself to, and the ideals he championed.
