Netta Epstein was born on Nov 9 2001, the first born child of Ori and Ayelet. He would be 22 years old, but missed his birthday by a month and 2 days.
He was a beautiful child with wide brown eyes and long beautiful curls, and a wonderful smile that showed often. He played soccer from a very young age and became a goalee in Hapoel Beer Sheva. He turned into a beautiful man with a huge heart. He was caring and giving to all his surroundings. He volunteered for a year with kids with special needs from broken homes. He would read to them and play soccer with them. They all loved him so much.
He was a soldier in combat in the IDF. Came back home in July and lived with his parents on the Kibbutz.
On Saturday morning October 7, he was in his apartment with Irene, his beloved fiancé, in the safe room: "We were in our home in contact with them when three Hamas terrorists broke into the safe room. They threw a grenade and Netta jumped on it to save Irene. Then a shotgun took him and killed him. Irene stayed quite and so wasn't found and later was rescued.
