Moshe Katz was a lone soldier who made aliyah in 2025 from New Haven, CT, without knowing conversational Hebrew. He grew up in a Lubavitch family. His parents are Mendy and Devorah. Moshe was known for his big smile and large circle of friends. He was killed during the 2026 Iran War by Hezbollah rocket fire targeting IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon.
