Micha Urie was born on May 19, 1952 in Hadera to Ruth and Elkana. He studied at the elementary school in Kibbutz Yavneh and then at the municipal high school in Rehovot. He was an electronics expert and was accepted to the pre-military school 'Onim' and the Air Force Technical School.
Micha was drafted into the IDF in August 1970 and and served in the Signal Corps, where he completed many courses and was assigned as a communications technician in Armored Corps, where he spent most of his service in Sinai or the Golan Heights. After completing his compulsory service he married and worked in an electronics firm.
During the Yom Kippur War Micha was called up to serve as communications officer with the Armored Corps which fought in the Golan. On October 12, 1973 he was killed when a rocket hit his vehicle. He was buried in the regional military cemetery in Gderot.
Micha was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1970 and served in the Signal Corps, where he completed many courses and was assigned as a communications technician in Armored Corps, where he spent most of his service in Sinai or the Golan Heights. On October 12, 1973, Micha was killed by a missile in his armored personnel carrier, near the village of Nesj in the Golan Heights, during the break-in at the Kuneitra-Damascus junction, and he was laid to rest at the regional military cemetery in Gedarot.
