Marc Aryeh Liebeskind was born on August 28, 1956 in Portland, Maine to Kalman and Dina. In 1968 the family made aliya and settled in Nazeret Illit. Following his final high school year, Marc (Aryeh) studied at the Reali Military Academy in Haifa.
Marc was inducted into the IDF in November 1975 and volunteered for the Golani Sayeret. He became a company commander and an instructor in the Officer's Course. On October 1, 1979 Marc was killed in the line of duty. He was buried in the Military Cemetery in Nazeret Illit and is survived by his parents.
