Life Story

Jason (Yehoshua Yehuda) Friedberg was born on August 30, 1968 in Montreal, Canada to Herbert and Dianna. He studied at the Hebrew elementary school Hatikva and then the Herzliah High School in Montreal. After a year in Jerusalem, he completed his BA at Concordia University. In January 1991 he made aliya and began to study at Machon Meir. In June 1992 he was drafted into the IDF and served in Golani. On March 12, 1993, on his way to officer's course test at Tel Hashomer, he was kidnapped by terrorists and killed. His body was found on the side of the Jerusalem - Tel Aviv highway. He was buried in the Har Herzl military cemetery in Jerusalem.
