Gila Sarah Kessler, 19, from Eli, was killed by a suicide bomber on June 19, 2002 while waiting at a bus stop in the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem. A gifted gymnast, swimmer and dancer, Gila was in her first year of National Service at the Jewish Agency, devoted to a project of on-line learning with Jewish communities abroad. She was sensitive to everyone's needs and touched the hearts of all who knew her. Gila is survived by her mother, Brigitte, and father, Ezra, who is American, a brother and two sisters.
