Emanuel Stahl was born on February 18, 1948 in Tel Aviv to Sarah and Shmuel. He studied in the Hasmonaim Elementary School in Ramat Gan through sixth grade. He then accompanied his parents to the US and continued his studies in Newark, NJ. He returned to Israel and studied at the Gymnasia Humanit in Tel Aviv. In 1966 he again travelled to the US to assist his mother who needed medical treatment.
When Emanuel returned to Israel in 1968, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Tank Corps as a Centurion expert. He completed his compulsory service and went into the reserves. He was called up with his unit when the Yom Kippur War began and was sent to the Sinai. On October 15, 1973, Emanuel participated in the attack on the northern sector of the Suez Canal when a missile hit his tank and killed him
He is buried at the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery.
