Ehud Winter was born on March 12, 1956 in Tel Aviv to Efraim and Ella-Freida. Until third grade he studied at the Givat Hashalom Elementary School in his neighborhood. Then his parents moved to the center of Tel Aviv and he continued his studies at Tel Nordau. It was, however, at the Military Pnimiya in Tel Aviv that Ehud blossomed and became one of the chevreh.
In November 1974 he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Paratroopers Corps. He became an officer and was promoted regularly. With the outbreak of the First Lebanon War he fought on the central front.
On June 10, 1982 Ehud was killed when enemy planes bombed his unit. He was buried in the miliary cemetery in Kiryat Shaul in Tel Aviv.
