Doron Segal was born on July 4, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY to Eliezer and Aviah. The family made aliya - returning to their homeland - in 1946. Doron completed his high school studies at the vocational school alongside the Technion in Haifa and became an electrician.
He was drafted into the IDF in July 1953 and volunteered for the paratroopers. After completing his service he was transferred to the Armored Corps for reserve duty. On November 1, 1956 he fell in the battle for Abu Aguila during the Sinai Campaign. After being buried temporarily in the Military Cemetery in Shelech, he was permanently buried in the Tivon Cemetery a year later.
