Chana, then 31 years old, was severely injured in a Hamas suicide bombing of a Sbarro pizza restaurant in Jerusalem, on August 9, 2001. She had been there with her 3-year-old daughter, Sarah. Chana remained in a non-responsive vegetative state for nearly 22 years, cared for with love by Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital staff and family, before passing away at Ichilov Hospital on May 31, 2023. She was buried in Modi'in the following day.
She was survived by her husband, David, her daughter, Sarah, her parents, Yitzhak and Paula Feiner, and brothers Zeev and Shushi.
