Sgt. Maj. (res.) Betzalel Yehoshua Mosbacher Z"l, 32, of Or Yehuda, was a devoted husband, father, and reservist combat engineer in the Israel Defense Forces. Born and raised in Avnei Eitan in the Golan Heights, he was the eldest of ten siblings and a graduate of the FIDF IMPACT! Scholarship Program, earning degrees in engineering and physics, and working at the Israel Electric Corporation.
Mosbacher was critically wounded by a roadside bomb in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on July 19, 2025, and passed away a week later on July 26. Known for his courage, humor, and devotion to family, he left behind his wife Maayan, daughter Yaeli, and another child on the way, along with his parents and siblings.
