Avraham Yaakov Globman was born on December 12, 1921 in Providence, RI to Mordechai and Rachel. During the First World War Mordechai was drafted into the Jewish Brigade in the US.
When Avraham Yaakov was three years old his family moved to Baltimore where he studied in a Jewish school and a Yeshiva. He made aliya in May 1934 and after completing school in Petach Tikva, he worked in the diamond industry, supporting his parents.
He was killed in Zemach on May 18, 1948 and buried in Deganya A on May 21.
